We only have a couple of Star Trek memes before Christmas, so I think it's a great time to revisit all of the legendary Christmas episodes from the various iterations of Star Trek! I'm sure we all remember the jolly holiday cheer that has decked those liminal halls of the Starship Enterprise over the years, right? Right?
Of course, I'm only kidding. Star Trek has never been a show to jam in a Christmas episode just because they're airing in December. The only episode I can think of that even remotely evokes the Christmas spirit is Tapestry, where Jean-Luc Picard revisits vignettes from his younger years, changes the past, realizes he made a horrible mistake by changing it, undoes that, and returns to the intact present. It's got major It's a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol vibes, and it's a perfect Christmas watch for the whole family. But if you don't like the depressing tone of It's a Wonderful Life and would rather watch something that doesn't ruminate on what the world would be like if you were never born, I'm fresh out of options.
