That literally always happens, and we truly don't know why. Not why the dads end up loving the cats. That's obvious. We understand that completely. What we don't understand is why they fight wanting the cats so much in the first place. Just cave from the get-go, it'll be much more sensible.

You say this, and to an extent, it's true, but it's also not. Because you can live peacefully without seeing your cats for seven hours… as long as you know that the kitty is in bed and won't move for the next seven hours. But if you get up and the kitty is not where you expect it to be… heart attack incoming.
