Millennials of the world, we're here to celebrate everything nostalgic, wholesome, and Disney. Growing up on old Disney seems like such a privilege compared to the reels of YouTubers, TikTokers, and Instagram influencers that kids grow up on nowadays. They'll never understand the magic of a Disney princess fighting her way for true love, or the combination of her convivial side characters helping her in style.
Who's the favorite? From Sebastian the crab helping Ariel with her reticence and nascent legs grown on, to trying to be the mitigator to her worried father. Or who can forget Mushu, the sassy, surprising, and silly dragon who helps Mulan save China, as well as get back into her ancestor's good books. Everyone loves a nostalgic watch of The Lion King, where animals dominate the screen. Simba's heroic coming of age and growth into lion adulthood had us gripping our chairs and at the edge of our seat, hoping he'll find his way.
We can all learn a lot from a good ol' Disney movie, as well as a nostalgic meme scroll. There's nothing better than a cozy, cold evening with a cat or dog on lap, fireplace ablaze, and a good old fashioned scroll before bed.
