Just like burnout from a job or a creative pursuit, you can get burnt out on parenting. This is why it's important to take care of yourself first, as much as you can. This means taking breaks when you can get them, maintaining your own hobbies and social life, and leaning on the people in your life to help you pick up the slack.

These are all way easier said than done, especially the latter. If you're in a partnership, you're probably used to sharing the load. But parenting is difficult to share 50/50. One (or both) of you probably has to work, so that might complicate things.
