Every day I open the internet and every day it greets me with a brand new "behind the scenes photo" from Avengers: Doomsday that is absolutely, undeniably, spectacularly fake. I mean… Tobey Maguire napping in a Spider-Man suit next to Hugh Jackman laughing in full Wolverine gear while Pedro Pascal chats with the Russo brothers in front of a green screen castle? Sure. Why not. At this point the AI models are basically playing cinematic Mad Libs and we're all just watching the chaos unfold.
And look, I get it. The excitement for Doomsday is through the roof. The tech is getting better by the minute. Put those two things together and the result is a never-ending flood of shockingly convincing images. Half the time the faces look perfect, the costumes look perfect, the lighting looks perfect, and then your brain goes, "Hold on… why is Wolverine 6 foot 8?" or "Why does that camera rig have twelve handles?" or "Is that castle made of plywood and dreams?"
Here's the thing. I'm not going to give you a lecture about how to spot AI, because by the time I finish this sentence, a new model will drop that fixes everything. So just adopt my personal rule of internet survival: don't believe ANY photo. None. Zero. Zip. If Marvel hasn't released it, assume it was born in the GPU mines.
So enjoy this collection of FAKE behind the scenes photos. Do they look cool? Absolutely. Are they real? not even a little bit. Should we still enjoy them? Of course. Then just wait for the actual movie to blow our minds for real.
