Woman leaves blind date after the first 5 minutes due to a "strong gut feeling", despite man driving long-distance to meet her: 'The moment we met, he gave off very annoyed and angry vibes'

We've been sitting here for the last fifteen minutes trying to debate what could possibly be worse than an awkward blind, first date…and we've got nothing. Nothing beats those clammy hands, horrendous ice-breaking dad-jokes, and every person's biggest fear, a potential catfish! You're just waiting for the initial awkwardness to fade, but it never does…and suddenly your watch becomes the most eye-catching thing you've seen all day. We always say the right person is not meant to make one feel nervous, but calm. So when you meet someone who makes you feel uneasy, it's often best advised to trust your instincts!

This woman met up with a man she met online, and within the first 5 minutes of meeting, she was already planning her exit strategy. Not necessarily because he was threatening as such, but because from the second he arrived, he was agitated, refused to order anything, and proved to her that chivalry is very much a thing of the past. So she decided that, despite having him drive a long way for their date, she was going to be honest about her feelings. Or in this case, not feelings. And before she could ever get her sentence out (approximately 10 minutes into the date), he was gone.

Perhaps transparency is the key, because it saved this woman 2 hours of her life she'd never get back. She knew in her gut from the first 7 seconds, around exactly how long it takes to make a first impression, that they wouldn't be walking down the aisle together, and pushing their children on the park swings…Sometimes it's best to cut something off before it even begins, and 5 minutes into the date was most definitely that!
