Employee gets fired for "performance issues" two weeks after her wedding despite skyrocketing sales and glowing review: 'Your employer is pretty heartless'

This employee did not receive the wedding gift from her boss that she had wanted.

As we're sure so many folks know, planning a wedding is a full-time job in and of itself. It can be a challenge to balance booking a venue, getting a wedding dress, and making all the necessary arrangements while giving your work everything you have simultaneously. Within reason, it's a good idea for managers to give their employees a bit of grace as they try to find balance throughout this overwhelming experience.

However, this employee was instead given a stern talking to regarding her performance at work in the final weeks leading up to the ceremony. She promised that as soon as this chapter of her life came to a close, she would lock in and buckle down. She even went so far as to reschedule her honeymoon vacation so that she could prove her commitment to her job as soon as the wedding was over.

However, all that effort ended up not meaning much at all. Within two weeks, she was unceremoniously fired.

It's worth acknowledging that this employee's performance at work already bounced back during that two-week period, and she even received a ton of praise for her productivity. Then, the following Monday, another one-on-one meeting about her performance was strangely scheduled right after she just had a glowing meeting with her supervisor. It turns out that the decision to let her go seemed to already have been made…
