Cooking is not only a valuable skill, but many would argue that it is also something that we should all know the basics of for the sake of an easier life. However, when it becomes something you're expected to do in various forms seven days a week, it can quickly become overwhelming (and that is before we take into account grocery shopping, washing up, and planning out recipes). With the extra labor it adds to our already hectic lives, it's no surprise that a lot of us turn to drive-thrus and DoorDash just to make things easier.
Finding the motivation to get back into the kitchen takes effort. Sometimes, it's sparked by a special occasion, like hosting friends for dinner. Other times, it sneaks into our minds through the stuff we see on the internet, such as stumbling across a batch of cooking memes that celebrate every cuisine and technique imaginable.
