Entitled coworker demands employee give her free rides to work, even on days employee isn't working, forcing them to look for another job: ‘She's definitely losing her ride’

When you work closely with people you see every day, it's natural that you find yourself closer to them than you expected. The closer you get, the more comfortable you become with one another, for better and for worse. It's nice, having people you think of as friends with you at work every day, but they can also take advantage of that closeness. They can ask you for favors, or even demands, using your "friendship" as an excuse for why you should help them out.

Take the employee in the story below as an example. She has no problem asking her coworker for rides to work, and even demands they she take her daughter as well. She basically treats her coworker like a personal Uber, except she doesn't even offer to pay her or show any gratitude in return.

The situation reached a boiling point when the entitled employee kept demanding rides even on days her coworker wasn't even working. This led the coworker to decide to sever this 'friendship' and even pushed her to start looking for a different job.
