Woman discovers 25-year-old brother used her credit card to pay a $1,200 wedding venue deposit without permission, so she freezes the card, causing venue to cancel booking, sparking major backlash from nearly-wed couple: '[Said] I sabotaged his wedding'

Imagine your brother offering to book your overseas flight for you, with your credit card, of course (because how many younger brothers are that nice!), and then suddenly weeks later, you notice a random amount of $1,200 coming off your account. Most of us would panic, assuming that it must be fraud! As did this 23-year-old big sister, in a moment of worry, she froze her credit card to make sure that no more random bursts of money could pour out…Until she noticed something extremely strange…Her brother's name on the receipt just made no sense. So she called him up that afternoon, looking for answers… almost seconds later, she was left absolutely baffled by his response.

He needed to pay the deposit on his wedding venue, and they needed a credit card on the spot: an explanation given in a tone that expressed such casualness and lack of understanding towards her "dramatic" reaction…Like what? If the couple needed a credit card, why on earth would they not use their own? But this is where the story hits its juicy peak. Due to the freezing of the credit card, the wedding venue cancelled their booking after claiming the payment had bounced, leaving the couple in shambles.

We're just glad they didn't use her credit card to pay for the caterer or floral arrangement, too… because it would no longer be a wedding day, but solely a day. The fact that the couple is playing the victim is the most surprising, as they barely even bothered to give her a timeframe in which they were planning to ‘repay’ her.
