    Entitled lady demands to have other customer's table moved away from her at her favorite restaurant: 'I can’t eat while she’s sitting there!'

    In every restaurant, there is that one regular customer who seems to think that they own the place.

    This lady insisted that she could not even touch her meal until the author seated at the adjacent table was moved. Now, did the author say anything that upset her or interrupted her meal? Was the table unreasonably too close for comfort? Did these two customers somehow know each other beforehand that would otherwise make eating near one another impossible? 

    These are all valid questions that might justify her entitlement, but unfortunately for this lady, the answers to all of those questions are no, no, and no.

    The truth of the matter is that this was a person who could not stand the fact that the author was seated facing her at his own table. Clearly, this was some sort of pet peeve that she simply could not get over under any circumstances.     • It's understandable that people have preferences when it comes to how they eat a meal. However, the minute you set foot outside of your own home, you are essentially allowing yourself to be subjected to potential circumstances that aren't ideal for you. 

      In other words, if you care so much about not wanting a stranger to face you while you eat, then you shouldn't go to a restaurant because that kind of thing will inevitably happen at some point. The world does not revolve around you, lady, regardless of how many times you have graced this establishment with your unfortunate presence!

      This happened today. I was eating alone at a nice little restaurant, just minding my business.

    • The lady sitting directly opposite me suddenly walked up and said, "Can you move? I don't like people facing me while I'm eating." I was like, "Sorry, excuse me?" She said, "Yeah, you heard me right," and repeated it.
