Kids these days don't know how good they have it. If they want to watch their favorite show, all they have to do is make a quick search and click. They have every episode of every show they would ever want to watch right at their fingertips. But we 90s kids had to earn our cartoon time. We memorized time slots, begged our parents not to change the channel, and planned our entire afternoons around the TV guide. If you missed an episode, you just had to deal with it and wait for reruns, praying to the Nickelodeon gods. Honestly, it built character.
Maybe that's why people say Millennials have such a weird sense of humor; we were raised on Ren and Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life, which made absolutely no sense and yet somehow simultaneously scared and shaped us as people. But hey, at least we had Arthur to teach us… something. So! Grab your Dunkaroos, settle into that old beanbag chair, and enjoy these nostaglic memes for aynone who grew up on the questionable wisdom of 90s cartoons.
