There’s humor in the horror of it, this idea that teaching at a private school with long breaks grants moral superiority over everyone else. But it’s also sad in the way people inflate their importance to hide insecurity. The lawyer finally cut her off, which feels less like drama and more like self-maintenance. Pretending patience is virtue only works for so long. Eventually, you realize the smartest thing isn’t winning the argument, it’s ending it. and that's not an easy thing for a lawyer to do.
