Black momma cat’s babies cross the rainbow bridge, so her wholesome owners foster a ginger kitten for her, and she instantly adopts him and makes him part of the family

Being a mom, for humans and cats alike, is a tough job. The pregnancy is long and difficult, the mental preparation that you have to go through, and then, obviously, the child rearing takes so much effort. You may think that cats have less to do than us, but no. Cat moms have to teach their babies so much. Cats mommas teach their kittens how to drink water without it getting into their noses, because it's more difficult than you may think. Cat mommas teach their kittens how to communicate, because it's very important to know how to instruct your humans properly.

The cat mom in today's story… she was ready to be a mom in everyway. But unfortunately, her baby crossed the rainbow bridge far too early. Her humans, being good owners, saw her pain and decided that they had to do something, that they had to try to make things better for her. So, they adopted a kitten for their cat, in the hopes that maybe she will help fill that itty bitty void. And it was like meowgic. Instantly, the momma cat took the little ginger kitten and accepted her as her own.

We generally try not to attribute humanity to animals. We know that they feel deeply but differently than us sometimes. But in this case… you can just see it - the joy in her eyes, in the way that she expresses herself, the love that she has to give to this little baby after having lost her own. It's real.

Same. This is not the first time that we have seen this video pop up on our feeds, but it's the first time we have seen it go this viral, and we totally get why. It's hard to look at this and not get emotional.
