There are many misconceptions about Halloween. Sure, the essence behind it can be related back to many different ancient and contemporary religions. But when it comes down to it, the actual celebration of what we know as Halloween got popular in American because a mother was sick of kids running a muck. Just look up Elizabeth Krebs!
Because of its spooky essence and satan!c misconceptions, uneducated individuals will ban it from their life. And, fine, you do you, nobody is forcing you to celebrate Halloween. You can do whatever you want with your life and the holidays you choose to celebrate. But. when you start to force others to ban Halloween, then the problem isn't the holiday, it is you.
In the case of this neighborhood, they embraced Halloween. They recently got a new neighbor who moved into the community. Less than two months and she is going around trying to get everyone to sign a petition to ban Halloween decorations. Her neighbors not only refused to sign such a petition, they went out and got even more! We love spooky season pettiness!
