    29-year-old employee refuses to train 31-year-old coworker "Becky" after she discovers Becky tried to get her written up: 'I don't owe her mentorship after she tried to sabotage me!'

    Becky does not sound like a team player.

    When you're relatively new to a workplace environment, it's always a good idea to respect the people who have been working there longer than you have, regardless of age or experience. You're literally stepping into a preexisting office dynamic.Don't you want to be embraced by your fellow coworkers?

    Apparently, Becky did not care. In fact, she went out of her way to try to sabotage the author of this anecdote not long after she began working at the company. The author, an office administrator at a construction company, provided context explaining that this was a small but mighty team that always had each other's back… that is, until Becky came into the picture.

    After Becky was caught trying to throw her coworker under the bus, so to speak, she was quietly and barely reprimanded. Now, the author feels like Becky cannot be trusted, rightfully so. When Becky got her manager to approve her request to shadow the author for a few days at work, the author refused to agree to this. Honestly, we don't blame her.
