Naturally, this is bound to ruffle some feathers, especially since this young adult already covers all her personal bills on her own. If her mother is charging her $13,000 a year for rent, she might as well move out and get her own place. At least that way the rent won't spike by 60% in a single year. She's never been a spoiled kid. In fact, she's often offered her own hard-earned money to help her mother with household expenses.
