This might seem self-explanatory, but you'd be surprised by how many people, especially in the workforce, choose to cover themselves rather than ensure the truth is out in the open. If we don't have open communication with our colleagues, how are we supposed to trust one another enough to work alongside them?

What it all comes down to is pushback. Subordinates are often implored not to speak up, even when they know they're correct, for fear of retaliation from their superiors. This mindset sets a toxic precedent in that open communication in the workplace is deprioritized and egos are coddled instead. Nothing good comes from treating oneself, a grown adult, like a child; All that comes from this selfish behavior is a big sign that says "I don't know what I'm doing."
