    Foster-mother refuses to share celebratory adoptive party for 5-year-old son with her pregnant niece, who demands co-hosting the event to announce her gender reveal, when the mother declines idea, her niece refuses to attend: 'Said I was ruining her joy'

    Adoption is one of the biggest and most exciting moments in any child's and adoptive parents' lives. It deserves tremendous amounts of celebration, and that is exactly what this new mother had planned after fostering a 5-year-old boy and finally making his adoption official! So, she decided to plan a big celebratory party for the whole family…the only complication, her pregnant 22-year-old niece had demanded to share the special day and asked to turn the party into a shared gender reveal for the family. An exciting moment, of course, but perhaps for another day?

    This adoptive mother wants one day that is simply about her new son, so that he can truly feel loved and seen, a day that is only about him…and the start of their new family's chapter together. So she told her niece that she would appreciate it if her gender reveal was held on a different day from the party she had planned for months…Let's just say this shattered the bridge between the aunt and niece, as she is now throwing a tantrum over the refusal and has made it crystal clear that she will not be attending. A special day that was supposed to be about the boy has now been made about her!
