    'As long as he lives, he's my best friend': 8-year-old boy saves kitten by trading his skateboard to the kids who were harming the cat, he's rewarded with a new skateboard and donations to adopt the kitten

    We know that it is tough to believe sometimes, especially when you see everything that is going on in the world, but it is true - some people are selfless and good and will do good things. Yeah, we forget sometimes too. But in our position, here at ICHC, when we are looking for pawsitive and uplifting stories to share with you guys every single day, we come across these stories more often than others. Stories of people rescuing stray cats in need, stories of people giving warm homes to pregnant cats who need help, stories of people going out of their way - and with no reward whatsoever - to do the right thing. And today's story is the purrfect example of that.

    At only 8 years old, this boy did more good than some people will do in their lifetimes. When he saw a bunch of kids harming an innocent kitten, he stood up and did the only thing that he could think of - offering his skateboard as a trade for the kitten. It worked, thank goodness, and now, the cat is saved, the boy is happy, and the internet provided him with a new skateboard, because we all love it when people do the right thing.

    • Good people and bad people. We have both everywhere that we look. And while we never forget about the bad people that exist, it is good to sometimes be reminded about the good ones, since we do tend to forget about them. And this kid is good people. If everyone could grow up to be like him, the world would be a much better place.

    • What he did here should not be taken for granted, and it should not be lessened. We are certain that he did not want to give up this skateboard, but he did, because it was the only thing he could have done. We wish him all the good things in life. He's earned them more than most people already.
