Around the 6 month period, the puppy goes into its teenager phase… for about another year and a half. That period is challenging to say the least. And that's not even taking into account adjusting to a new home, with new people, new routine, etc. They must have really gone through it.

It's not about shaming, but it is irresponsible of them to do something like that, if it's actually true. The dog needs to be paired with a family that has the time, energy, and space to deal with it. A puppy already comes with a lot of surprises, so adding more to that mix just sounds pawsitively stressful.
