Even the most gentle-spirited workers can find problems with a colleague, though, especially if that coworker is gossipy.

I've never been much of a gossip myself, usually remaining at arm's length from any sort of drama (especially at work), but whenever someone becomes the subject of another person's rumor, now they're invested not only in the story, but the storyteller. While this quiet coworker was prepared to keep the peace in the workplace, despite their gossipy cohort, once they became the subject of the usual 'hot goss,' they had to put an end to it before things got out of hand.

Time to fight fire with fire.
