    'The last guard got fired for refusing': Security guard files report against management and leaves mid-shift, after being denied a radio and ordered to stand in unsafe position, only to be falsely accused of “abandoning post” by management when he refuses

    This security guard has been prioritizing his own safety, something his management clearly doesn't take seriously. Despite repeatedly requesting radios or some form of communication for emergencies, his concerns have been consistently ignored.

    The final straw came when store managers ordered him to stand in what could reasonably be considered an "unsafe zone", a location that the security company itself had previously advised guards to avoid when dealing with potential thieves.

    When he finally filed a complaint about the disregard for his safety and the ongoing threats of termination, the response was a retaliatory and false accusation of "abandoning post." At that point, he realized there was no reasoning with such an entitled and unreasonable management team. Instead of playing along, he decided to waste their time, intentionally delaying their disciplinary meetings while quietly planning his exit. His goal? To leave them with one less capable employee and walk away on his own terms.
