Over the years of studying humanity through the lens of the Internet, it's become increasingly clear that Karens just want to punish those around them. For whatever reason, whether it's unhappiness or just general cruelty, they get a satisfying powertrip from belittling, berating, and steamrolling customer service employees. As purveyors of justice, who are we to deny a customer service employee's right to protect themselves from this treatment? 

In fact, many of us here at the Failblog Headquarters relish in the vanquishing of Karens. 

And that's exactly why I bring you this next viral story of a call center employee who gives a customer on the phone a taste of her own medicine. In short, they use their power of termination to pull an uno-reverse on a Karen who threatened their job. After the call center employee denied a refund of $1.50, she demanded an escalation to "competent management," but despite getting immediately granted that option, she went on a tirade instead. 

Not many can endure the shrill yelling of a Karen over the phone for long, so instead of subjecting themselves to further torment, this call center employee took action and happily pressed the "End Call" button. Sayonara, Karen! I wish I could say it was a pleasure…
