A lot of people are prejudiced towards black and white movies and photographs. They think that a movie being black and white means it's boring and too old for them to watch, which is just ludicrous. In reality, those pictures, along with many historical photos from the latter part of the 20th century, were taken in black and white even though color photography existed at that point because they were intended for printing in newspapers.
