    'It breaks my heart that he spent years on the street': Skittish stray follows caring couple through a house move and finally gives in to love and care as they officially adopt him

    When it comes to cats, one universal truth stands: everything happens on their time, their terms. Whether it's cuddles, playtime, or even something as life-changing as adoption, cats decide when the moment is right.     Take this heart-melting story for example: one very determined floofy boy took 2.5 years to decide that his human had earned the honor of being his pawrent. In that time, he remained a sweet but skittish shadow - only showing up from afar, caught in blurry photos from a safe distance. He even managed to follow his chosen human through a house move, appearing at both the old and the new home. Finally, after years of keeping his distance, he "surrendered" to love and care. Now, he's happily glued to his human's side, working on healing, growing back his fur, and enjoying the safe life he always deserved.

    Stories like these remind us that cats will always move at their own pace, and that's part of what makes them so special.
