We don't really know why he's missing his ears, maybe he had some tumors, bud the left side looks like the ear was never even there, so maybe it's possible he was born like this. his hearing is okay-ish and he is very healthy!

I am kinda scared of feline dementia, because sometimes he looks really confused and today he cried in the bathroom and when I came for him, he just sat in the middle of the bathroom and cried and cried for no reason, but when he saw me, he stopped and chirped and came with me to my bedroom. but maybe he is just confused because everything is new to him. I love him so so so so much!!!

Thoth-long-bill • 13h ago Talk to him a lot. Tell him he is beautiful and handsome. Tell him he gets to live here now -- he does not know that. Tell him you will feed him and be his friend if he agrees. Ask him to be his friend. Tell him he is safe. All this stuff he is wondering and uncertain. Cuddles as much he wants. And thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

No-Path-6251 • 13h ago Thank you for taking him. I'll bet he will turn into a love bug. He just needs a little time to get used to all the changes. Keep us posted on his adjustments. You have a kind heart. Blessings to both of you. SA

jejivelicenstvoona OP • 5h ago She sounded like a really lovely woman, I hope she knows he is in good hands and loved so very much. She had 15 cats, all rescued from the street. Kubik was one of the last five that her friends were not able to find a new home for before she d d, so they ended up in a cat rescue, but they were cared for really good there. A lot of people who come visit the kitties there fell in love with Kubik and gave him love before I saw him and decided he deserves more than ju

Boho_chic82 12h ago That breaks my heart when I hear of nobody wanting a cat, esp since his owner has d d ②. He is beautiful without his ears . Thank you for giving Kubik a great golden year life

jejivelicenstvoona OP • 4h ago A lot of people who visit the rescue where he lived really loved him, but most of these people already have at least one cat and I understand that senior kitty can be more challenging and people who want their first cat would prefer a younger cat with who they can spend more years. And I am glad it was like this, otherwise we wouldn't find each other.

catslikepets143 • 13h ago Yeah, he just got "lost" when he was in the bathroom, he's still learning his way around the house. It's real good that you came for him, you're building trust. He now knows if he gets "lost" in the house, you'll come for him. That's awesome! Thank you for helping!

OMGyarn ⚫ 13h ago I love me some pity kitties ETA: he was crying for you. I've adopted senior kitties whose owners have dd, and they are the ones who need the most assurance and cuddles. When we got our Lando we had him separated from the other cats and he was not happy about being away from people at all, even during the introduction phase.
