    Midwesterners love things that are a little bit ridiculous. We love calling something a salad that is clearly chopped up Halloween candy and mayonnaise. We love saying things like "listen here, pal" when we really mean, "I am blind with rage." We love wearing shorts when the weather is just above freezing. We can't be tamed. There is a recklessness to Midwesterners that comes from being cooped up in our houses half the year. We know what it's like to suffer, and that suffering makes us a little bit crazy. Who cares? We have enough charm to back it up. 

    Everyone loves Midwesterners because we're a little bit off our rockers. If you have one in your life, or you are one yourself, you know this to be true. We're so consumed with politeness that our feelings find their way out in other forms. Sometimes we're passive-aggressive, but you would be too if your brain literally didn't allow you to fully lash out at others. But it's alright, because we get our therapy in the form of memes.
