Woman complains to manager at sandwich shop when sandwich takes 20 minutes to make, manager takes workers side: 'I put a 1 star review'
Time is money, as they say. Our western culture is so accustomed to convenience and quickness; if you're not actively working, progressing, producing, or serving something then you're wasting your time apparently. Other cultures don't function on a rat race, but that's a different story. It's crazy to think how most countries don't even have driven thru takeout, that it's mostly just the US. Despite worshipping the perfunctory, people do have to take breaks once in a while.
In the story below, a woman orders a sandwich from a popular sandwich shop that's seemingly first come first serve. The worker doesn't start immediately, and by the time she does start the sandwich, she has a longer list of sandwiches to make. I guess it would also bother me, but I certainly wouldn't talk to a manager about it. She does though, and you'll have to read the full story for all the details.
