Dad makes fun of 27-year-old daughter's boyfriend, claiming his IT profession is “not a real job”, boyfriend walks out of dinner after daughter takes dad's side: ‘You owe my family an apology’

Who knew how difficult it would be to date someone your father would fully approve of?

Maybe it's just my dad (and the dad in the story below, but we'll get to him in a second), but I never seem to find someone he completely approves of. There's always something wrong with the guy's job, family, or manners. There is simply not one person whom my dad deems good enough for me, which would be sweet if it weren't so annoying, you know what I mean?

At least my dad never insulted any of my dates to their faces, like the dad in the story below did. My dad has the common sense to subtly tell me what he thinks after the date has left. The dad in the story below, however, had no issues telling his daughter's boyfriend that he is just not good enough for her.

Why, you ask? Because the boyfriend works as an IT, and the dad decided this profession does not count as a real job.

The real shocker from this story is that the girlfriend refused to confront her dad for his harsh words, and instead demanded that her boyfriend apologize for walking out of dinner.
