'I had my revenge': Noisy family keeps him up all night, so sleep-deprived dad tricks loud hotel guests into chasing fake free breakfast

One of the joys (sarcasm) of staying at a hotel is that you have absolutely no control over your fellow guests. You can book the nicest resort in the world, but if you're stuck on the same floor as a youth soccer team, you might as well have checked into a Chuck E. Cheese. It feels like every time I stay somewhere, there are kids running wild down the halls, slamming doors, ding-dong ditching, and monopolizing the pool for hours. But honestly, I can't judge too hard because I was that kid once, splashing until my fingers pruned while my parents pretended not to know me. The real issue usually comes down to the parents, who either enforce bedtime… or just let the herd of buffalo run free.

That’s exactly how one dad described his unfortunate neighbors during a supposedly “relaxing” family getaway. While he and his wife whispered bedtime reminders to their own kids, the people above them were stomping around so loudly he couldn’t tell if it was a family of six or a stampede of buffalo. Hours of banging and slamming later, he was seething. But instead of confronting them directly, he came up with a plan for the perfect petty revenge.
