People tend to think that being an introvert means that you dislike company; this simply isn't true. Introverts are just like cats, but in human form. Cats love socializing; they happily accept a head scratch, belly rub, or affectionate cuddle... until they don't. Then it's paws off and time to disappear under the bed; once they've had enough, they need their space. Similarly, we introverts enjoy hanging out with loved ones and friends, but when we hit our limit, we need to retreat, not keep the party going.
And just like cats, every introvert has their own unique ritural to recharge their social battery. Some like to go on long, solitary "stalks" through nature, like prowling the neighborhood at dusk. Others slip on their giant "do not disturb" headphones like invisible cat ears to ward off unnecessary social interaction. But most of us are purrfectly content curling up in our favorite sunny spot, wrapped in a blanket, purring over a good book or a mindless scroll through relatable cat memes.
This silly, introverted kitty reminds me of my cat Walter. He's always the first to greet guests and show off how much of a goofball he is, but he just as quickly disappears once he's had enough. He's a pretty big fan of the Irish good-meow, if you will.
