Son cuts off contact with rich dad and stepsiblings after dad accuses him of not meeting the family standards, claiming he doesn't fit in: ‘Now I'm really done with him’

Contrary to popular belief, you don't actually have to keep in contact with your family if you don't want to. Sure, you might have a lot of history and love between you, and it may not be an easy transition, but if they don't make you happy, you don't have to keep them in your life.

That is clearly the advice the son in the story below needs to hear. His father keeps 'dumping' him, claiming he is not good enough for the family. Instead of letting that connection be cut off, this son is too loyal and keeps allowing his father back in his life.

But enough is enough.

During a family wedding, the father yet again accuses his son of not meeting the family standard, and the son decides he will not take it anymore. Not only did he cut off contact with his father, but he did so with the entire family, including his stepsiblings.
