'I have no idea who you are': Former outcast gets even with class nemesis "Tom" at 25th high school reunion

This one goes out to anyone who wasn't cool in high school who had the courage to show up to the class reunion. It takes a brave soul to be able to walk into that room. Having been to a high school reunion myself, I can attest to the fact that old cliques and dynamics begin to emerge in a bizarre way. This can be amusing to someone who has made peace with the past, but it can also be strangely confronting. 

For this author, he remained close to a friend from back in the day. This meant that going into the class reunion, he had at least one buddy. "John" became a shocking success story in his high school community despite the fact that he and the author were outcasts when they were teenagers. Their nemesis, "Tom," did not exactly turn out as well. He bounced from career to career and wound up becoming a failed social media influencer who constantly promoted crypto and unsolicited advice. Tom caught wind of John's success and approached him at the reunion with his trademark braggadocio that seemed to indicate a lack of self-awareness or growth.
