It's September, which means we're in the thick of it, school-wise. The kids are in the grind of getting up and going every day, even (especially) when they don't want to. You're in the grind of taking them every day at the crack of dawn (why does school start so early?) and picking them up at the end of the day (or sending someone else to do it because by golly, you're at work!) But most of all, you're in the grind of helping with homework. Whoever knew that middle school geography was so difficult? What do you mean you have to memorize all of the 50 state capitals? Did we have to do that back then?

Also, I don't know about you, but I forgot all of the algebra I learned the second I didn't have to know it anymore. Now my kid is asking me to help them solve for x? Don't make me feel stupid, guys. As hard as we parents have it during back to school, the kids have it even harder. They were used to doing nothing and now… this?
