Vacationing family gets into a dispute with entitled hipsters over campsite territory: 'Their hammock [is] strung halfway across our spot!'

The experience of going camping as a family almost always leads to unintended consequences. It just goes to show that you can plan everything in advance. You can bring all the proper materials and even find ways to cater to everyone's needs. However, there will always be some kind of unforeseen factor when it comes to nature. For some, this is the beauty of going camping. For others, it's the primary reason why they despise the concept.

It's important to know oneself before going on a camping trip. For instance, if a good old-fashioned tent is not your thing, you may have a problem enjoying yourself. This family decided to embark upon a camping trip in Italy. Everything seemed to be going according to plan, and the parents were mindful of everyone's needs. However, like I said earlier, there is always that one unforeseen factor that gets in the way and can make or break the entire experience. 

No, in this instance, that "make or break" moment had nothing to do with the scenic environment itself. Instead, it had everything to do with the hipster family that was violating their rented property. It turns out that this other guy really wanted to set up a hammock, but he hadn't reserved property that included two trees, so he thought he could take over a third of the author's rented property. Perhaps he didn't know that property had already been reserved and thought he could get away with it. That would have been understandable, but when he tried to double down on his entitlement when confronted by the author, that's precisely when the author stopped giving this dude the benefit of the doubt.
