When you own a home, your property is your property. Regardless of what your neighbors strongly suggest regarding property renovations, you don't have to listen to them if the changes are cosmetic or unnecessary for safety. After all, they have their space that they paid for (or rent), and you have yours. That's why the homeowner in this next story is baffled when their neighbor secretly installs a creek running from his yard through theirs while they were on a cruise vacation. Not to mention that the homeowner had already declined their neighbor's plea for a 'shared' creek because they'd have to take their fence down. There are many routes the homeowner can take regarding the legality of this mess, and commenters have a lot to say on the matter. Some suggest putting up a "no trespassing" sign, others urge them to get a lawyer's opinion, and many are telling them to simply fill the creek and get their home insurance information. How do you deal with living next to someone so entitled, though? Don't look at me—I have no clue. Scroll to read the full story.
