Remember the old days when there were no child labor laws, and women were forced to be essentially indentured servants to their husbands and children? Well, those days are over whether you like it or not. Even as a modern, independent, college educated woman in 2025, there are some real gems about those times that we'll never touch again.
I'm no supported of "toxic masculinity" in the traditional sense. Men have emotions too, and there's more damage to both men and women by holding it in and trying to control it so severely. But the basic qualities of masculinity are just qualities that everyone should be able to access - man, woman, or child. Assertiveness, courage, perseverance, stoicism, and toughness are all good qualities. They're important qualities, I'd argue more for women than for men. Of course, everything in moderation. But some of these hilariously archaic memes have a lot of wholesome truth in them. Yeah, being a man isn't a bad going. When you're told to get over it or walk it off, maybe its the right call to get you to pick yourself by your boot straps! I couldn't agree more with these memes. Though toxic masculinity is, well…toxic, there's a truth and humor about these memes. Sometimes a bit of tough love is what someone needs to get over something, or move through a hard time. So stop and give me 20!
