We all polish the truth a bit when we try to sell something to strangers. Who here hasn't described something they own since the 1990s as "vintage", or described the barely functioning car they've been trying to get rid of as a "fixer-upper"?
The thing is, there is a big difference between polishing the truth and outright lying. When someone sells something, they can't lie their way through the sale; that is downright conning someone. They are going to find out they have been deceived as soon as they take their purchase home and realize it was not what was promised to them.
It is also one thing to lie to someone who is buying your old bike from Facebook Marketplace, and someone interested in buying your house. Lying about what they are going to receive as soon as you hand over the keys is another level, which is what the neighbor in the story below is currently trying to do.
This resident noticed that their neighbor has been taking pictures of their yard and including it in their sale listing of their house, attempting to make their own backyard look "more spacious".
