Oh, what would I give to have a legal document ready for whenever someone refuses to listen to my warnings, so that no matter what happens, I'm covered and they cannot blame me for a single thing.
Exactly like the truck driver in the story below.
When he arrived at a customer's house, he knew right there and then that this delivery was going to be tricky. But it wasn't because of the location, or because of what he was delivering, it was because of the entitled homeowner standing at the front of the house, refusing to listen to any of the driver's words.
That is when the driver pulled out the company's legal document that states that they are not responsible for anything that happens during the delivery, and had the homeowner sign it. Smart move, because in order to make the delivery, this truck driver had to run over the house's entire lawn, basically ruining it.
Did the signed contract stop the customer from later complaining to the company? Absolutely not. But at least the driver could not be blamed.
