    Nostalgic 2000s Cartoons Cosplay As Anime Characters in Jynwaye's Chaotic Crossover Illustrations

    I grew up in the kind of household where the TV was always on. Maybe I wasn't always paying too much attention to what was on screen, but it made for good background noise. I'd flip back and forth constantly between Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Disney Channel. In a single afternoon, I could be found cracking up at the ridiculous antics in The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, shedding a tear from Uncle Iroh's sage advice from Avatar: The Last Airbender, and losing my actual mind at the Gaara vs. Rock Lee fight from Naruto. 

    All of these shows were constantly knocking around in my head, but never – not even in my weirdest fever dreams – did I imagine that these worlds could collide. However, this insanely creative artist has taken that childhood channel-surfing energy and turned into into magical mashup fanart that blends iconic anime with the best of 2000s Western cartoons. It's as if your favorite Nicktoons and Cartoon Network characters are cosplaying at comic con. Some of these mashups make perfect sense, others are too chaotic for their own good. Sailor Moon and The Powerpuff Girls are a match made in heaven, but Rick and Morty and Attack On Titan is an abomination. Scroll on down to check out both and eveything in between!
