An overworked and understaffed employee at a toy story during the holiday season was struggling to complete her daily duties. She tried to get upper management's help, but nothing. Until, one of the higher ups noticed her department was messy. He got upset and belittled her in front of the staff saying that he is going to now shadowing her to make sure she is doing everything correctly. So, he came in when she opened and stayed by her side during her shift. However, he did not see a lazy incompetent employee, he was able to see that she was overworked and that it was impossible for just one person to get everything she needed to get done, done. So, he went back to upper management and made sure her managers and employees were there to help her and get her duties done. She might have never gotten an apology from the pretentious upper management, but she sure ended up winning in the end.

Sometimes it just takes showing upper management how you do your own job, that they hired you to do, to get some respect around the workplace.
