As we grow older, the passing of our loved ones becomes inevitable. No amount of money or assets can fill the hole their departure has dug, but alas, the world keeps spinning. After the man in this next story's parents pass, he is left with the house. Though he wants to sell the property, a 24-year-old woman, whom his parents took in after her own mother had passed away, insists that she stay or be compensated after her departure. It's important to note that the woman in question was given the same financial treatment as the man and his biological siblings, and has also been living rent-free in the home for countless years. Now, the man believes he should be able to sell the home without guilt or be beholden to any requests she technically isn't entitled to.
What would you do in this situation? On the one hand, the woman is as much of a "kid" as the man and his biological siblings were to their parents. However, on the other… If nothing was left to her in the will, does he owe her anything? Better yet, shouldn't his siblings be giving her something if they're insistent upon not leaving her financially high and dry? Scroll below to read the full story.
