'FALL IS BACK ON': 'Christian Girl Autumn' influencer reveals fall video prank

Not so long ago, there was a real possibility that Fall 2025 was not going to be all that the internet hoped it would be, and not just because of the ongoing, devastating effects of climate change. It didn't matter how rich the colors of the foliage were going to be, or how many delightfully seasonal drinks were consumed. Autumn was just not going to be the same, because its official queen would be taking a leave of absence.

Many of the chronically online were aghast earlier this week when influencer Caitlin Covington, aka the face of the Christian Girl Autumn meme, announced that she wouldn't be continuing her tradition of posting fall videos this year. Citing the pressure of doing it as her reason, many were resigned to the fact that we would not be served the very best in millennial autumn aesthetics to ring in the new season this year.

Thankfully, this turned out not to be true. Not too long afterwards, Caitlin revealed that she had been pulling a prank, and even though it wasn't even September yet, we could rest easy because ‘fall is here’. It is fair to say that fans were relieved at this development—the last thing we all need right now is for a whole season to be cancelled.
