When the time comes to evaluate the cultural impact that Gen Z has made on the world, it is undeniable that a certain app associated with the clock will probably dominate a lot of the conversation. TikTok is the reason that so much of the internet is an endless reel of short-form video now, and it is also a very interesting look into how many of the current generation of young adults perceive themselves.
More than ever, social media is a place to use as a kind of personal diary (primarily for clout purposes, of course). It is also a place where the only limits are the ever-shifting Community Guidelines, and slipping between them can bring up some delightfully odd and entertaining content. The combination of this desire for freedom, combined with certain restrictions, can bring about some mighty amusing snippets that remind us that the human experience is a broad one.
