Most young adults spare themselves from the emotional rollercoaster one might go through while reading the news. They don't go on news websites, they don't follow any news social media accounts, and they definitely do not buy any newspapers. The most information they do get is from whatever pops up on their For You pages, or if they are anything like as, from any meme that might be circling the internet at the moment.
If news media outlets do want to appeal to a younger audience, they have to be creative about it, which is why we think it would be hilarious to include a meme section in any newspaper or website. It might not inform people of a lot, but it would sure entertain them, and that's what it is all about.
