You know that moment when your brain does a little double-take? That "wait, what am I looking at?" moment that feels like visual sleight of hand? That's basically the entire vibe of photographer Suíssas - and we're very into it.
Based in Lisbon, Suíssas has been bending reality for over a decade using nothing more than perspective, color, and a magician's sense of mischief. And we mean that literally. As a kid, he used to perform magic tricks - and somewhere along the way, he traded in cards and coins for a camera. The magic never really left, though. His photos play with angles and architecture to transform everyday scenes into clever illusions: buildings that become objects, skylines that morph into symbols, shadows that make you question everything.
Suíssas says it best: "All is an illusion." But the joy here isn't in being fooled - it's in seeing the world reimagined through someone else's lens. Scroll down and you'll see what we mean. Just don't be surprised if you start squinting at park benches and balconies differently by the end of it.
