Hey there, people of the internet. My dad always said, "no good deed goes unpunished" when I was a kid. As it's also the name of one of the songs in the famous Broadway musical, Wicked, it's a true statement. There's nothing worse than the slap in the face from the karmic universe after having every intention to do a nice thing, and winding up feeling like you were punished for it. You may be asking yourself, "why me?" But the truth is that there's no answer to that question. If you're subscribed to a religion, then I suppose your answer is right in front of you in the hands of whichever booklet tells you your truth. If you don't follow a religion, then coming up with an answer for why things happen in the world can be exhausting. Nihilists have already come to understand that nothing means anything, and you can subscribe to them as well if you feel so inclined.
