We all know that the best and most efficient way to teach your children something is by setting an example for them. If you want your children to learn manners, the first thing you have to do is lead the way and show them how it is supposed to be done.
Kids learn so much just from looking at their parents, for better and for worse. We all have qualities we would love to pass down to our children, and qualities we never want them to see, and it's up to us what they end up being exposed to and what they steer clear of.
It takes a ton of self-work and a lot of effort, but it can be done.
Some parents do none of that self-work and apply minimal effort, and it shows, which is exactly what happened in the story below. Not only did this entitled mom refuse to allow her kid to apologise for his mistake of bumping into a stranger at the grocery store, she actually reprimanded him when his first response was to say sorry.
She actually taught him the opposite of manners, and that left the stranger feeling sorry for this kid's future…
