Single mom down on her luck starts crying when her car breaks down, kind old couple help her, feed her, and restore her faith in humanity: ‘It takes a lot to do that for a stranger.’

A mother in need was helped by an elderly couple who found her crying in a parking lot. This single mother had recently lost her job of eight years and had no one to turn to for help. She was on her way to pick up her infant daughter when her car started smoking. She thought if she kept stopping to add coolant, everything would be fine, but that did not work. Finally, she had to veer off into a parking lot and pop open the hood. Unfortunately, her car knowledge goes as far as the coolant, so she just stared at her smoking car and started to cry. She had no idea what she was going to do.

Luckily, a kind elderly couple spotted her and came to her rescue! The old man used to be a mechanic and quickly spotted the issue. It was not the coolant and it would not a simple fix he could do right then and there. But all hope was not lost! The elderly couple not only offered her a ride to pick up her daughter, they also drove them the 1.5 hours back to home, fed her and her daughter, and gave her $60 to buy baby supplies!

If it weren't for that elderly couple, this mom would met her rock bottom. But they helped and she not only was able to do what she had to do that day, she also now holds faith in humanity. She says she will never forget them and will always thank them for their kindness.
